Summary

The IT Director, Data & Reporting will play a critical leadership role responsible for leading the data management, analytics, and reporting functions within the Chief Information Office. This role will oversee the development and execution of data strategies that support control and risk management objectives, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring advanced analytical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. This individual will also be involved with strategic and transformational initiatives and the delivery of critical, large-scale, complex, high-visibility, regulatory remediation programs.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Leadership & Strategy: Develop and lead the overall strategy for data, analytics, and reporting related to the Chief Information Office.
  • Data Strategy & Management: Develop and implement the overall data strategy for the Chief Information Office, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes.
  • Analytics & Insights: Lead advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks. Provide insights to inform business decisions, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Reporting: Develop and manage comprehensive reporting processes that provide clear and actionable information to stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies, and board-level committees. Ensure reporting frameworks meet regulatory and internal audit standards.
  • Technology & Tools: Identify and implement data analytics tools and technologies that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of data analysis and reporting. Stay current with emerging trends and tools in data management and analytics.
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Partner with all lines of defense to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure data governance policies are adhered to and that data analytics and reporting processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance data management and reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
  • Training & Awareness: Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders to enhance data literacy and analytical skills across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex data findings in a clear and effective manner to various stakeholders, including senior management. Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding Chief Information Office Data, Analytics, and Reporting matters.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and update of policies and procedures related to data, analytics, and reporting.
  • Audit & Regulatory Coordination: Support internal audits and regulatory reviews related to data, analytics, and reporting. Ensure that documentation and evidence are prepared and available for audit and examination purposes.

People Management

This position will oversee a team which will include a technical lead, individual contributors, with the possibility of supplemental direct contract labor.



  • Oversees and directs additional delivery capacity via third party partner relationships.
  • Works with HR and the IT leadership to maintain a BI "talent strategy" that aligns with the current and future business and IT strategy. Continually looks for leading-edge and innovative solutions to the recruitment, development and retention of the I&O workforce.



Work Environment

This job operates mostly indoors in an office setting. This position is based out of either Wilsonville or Kent offices.

Physical Demands

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salaried position and will require a flexible work schedule to successfully manage and deliver the accountabilities of the role.

Travel

May be required to travel monthly up to 15% of the time.

Required Education and Experience



  • 12+ years' experience in data analytics, reporting, or related roles within the consumer goods and/or distribution industries
  • Proficiency using Microsoft database tools (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, etc.)
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Azure (SQL Server, SQL Data Warehouse, Data Factory, etc.)
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in data modeling (logical and/or physical), ETL design, reporting design)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required



Preferred Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Strong Team Leadership of Technical/Development Teams
  • Experience in outsourcing and vendor management
  • Strong SQL & Database Design/Architecture skills



Compensation




  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
