We have the unique opportunity to hire a Technical Modeling Senior Advisor to deliver technical modeling and programming support for Nuton studies.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze and interpret heap leaching test data, offering technical guidance for metallurgical test programs.
  • Create, evaluate, and optimize metallurgical process model simulations.
  • Develop and enhance Nuton process models using programming tools to reflect technological advancements or test new scenarios.
  • Collaborate with laboratory teams to validate model assumptions and integrate findings into operational models.
  • Scale up sulfide heap leach operations using validated process models.
  • Support the Nuton Technology Transfer Team with process design criteria for engineering purposes.
  • Present model simulations and results to technical and non-technical audiences to support engineering design, business case evaluations, and geo-metallurgical insights.

Skills and experience:

  • A commitment to your safety and your team's.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in technical modeling, simulation, or a related area OR a Ph.D. in engineering, data science, mathematics, or another related discipline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Python, Fortran, R, or similar tools for data visualization and analysis.
  • Competence in process modeling for developing and optimizing engineering designs.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of extractive metallurgy or leaching processes, particularly heap leaching would be an asset.Experience developing and refining chemical process models would be an asset.
