INTERNSHIP: Startup Program and Innovation Program - Solidworks

Role Description & Responsibilities Dassault Systemes, the 3DEXPERIENCE company, is hiring a dynamic and driven intern to join our team in Waltham, MA. The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is for disruptive innovation with positive impact on the world. We nurture startups with dedicated programs. We also boost creativity and innovation through targeted initiatives and community exchange. The FabLab is part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab and offers access to digital fabrication machines such as laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines and more.

Are you passionate about digital fabrication and design? Do you have a sense of aesthetics and functionality? Would you like to use your creativity and technical skills in an innovative and collaborative environment, and also realize your own ideas?

• Work on exciting projects in the areas of product, architecture or art & design, and sustainability
• Operate and maintain the digital fabrication machines
• Create and test prototypes and models
• Create and optimize CAD designs with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
• Collaborate and learn from other interns, employees and external partners
• Have the opportunity to implement your own design projects using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform
• Perform administrative and operational tasks to keep the FabLab running properly
• Help the startup program and 3DEXPERIENCE Lab in startup sourcing

Qualifications

• S. Junior or Senior, M.S. candidate
• Enthusiasm for startups, digital fabrication and design
• Interest in working with digital fabrication machines, initial experience is a huge plus
• Creativity and craftsmanship
• Basic knowledge of CAD design
• Teamwork and communication skills

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $19 - $26 per hour.
