Career Opportunity

T-Solutions is seeking an experienced Professional Development Coach to support leadership development and organizational effectiveness within Navy-owned shipyards. In this role, you will provide personalized coaching to shipyard leaders, fostering their professional growth and improving operational excellence across critical naval maintenance and repair operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Professional Development Coach, you will:

    Leadership Coaching : Provide tailored coaching to shipyard supervisors and managers, focusing on leadership development, strategic decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Performance Improvement: Support leaders in identifying areas for improvement, setting actionable goals, and achieving measurable results.
  • Conflict Resolution: Guide leaders in managing and resolving workplace challenges to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Change Management: Assist leaders in navigating organizational changes, aligning teams with strategic objectives, and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Skill Development: Deliver training on leadership best practices, communication, and time management tailored to the shipyard's unique operational context.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Regularly assess progress through one-on-one sessions, providing feedback and actionable recommendations to enhance leadership effectiveness.

Travel

  • This position will travel occasionally to various shipyard locations as needed.

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • A Bachelor's Degree in leadership, organizational development, psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years in leadership or professional development coaching, preferably in industrial or military environments.
  • Familiarity with Navy shipyards, maintenance activities, or related industries is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in leadership principles, coaching techniques, and team dynamics.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and change management strategies.
  • Knowledge of US Navy shipyard operations, policies, and practices.
  • Experience supporting leaders in complex, high-stakes environments.
  • A proven track record of delivering impactful leadership development programs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Coaching certifications (e.g., ICF, Gallup) are highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired; however, candidates eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer if they do not hold an active clearance. A start date will be established once an interim Secret clearance is granted.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor or manager when not in the office.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Reaching, handling, and using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
