Description Maine Behavioral Healthcare Summary This is a 16-hour position integrated into medical practices in MaineHealth Primary Care Brunswick and Topsham.As a provider integrated into a medical setting, you will work closely with the medical staff and behavioral health clinician(s) to support psychiatric care of the patients. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, advise medical providers on medication and treatment strategies, and at times may begin the treatment regimen to stabilize patient symptoms within a few brief visits.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing and qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating psychiatric patients. Specific credentialing criteria neededif working in the hospital asdefined by Medical Staff By-Laws.
