Wieland Small Tube Products is hiring an Aluminum Operator. The Aluminum Operator will be responsible to set up and operate Draw bench to draw tubing to required size listed on specifications.

This role is located in Duncansville, PA.

Starting Pay: 19.62

Schedule: 2nd shift, 3p-11p, training will be held on 1st, 7a-3p.

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Aluminum Operator Responsibilities:

Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasks.
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the "next customer" in a timely manner.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
• Performs Draw Bench set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheet).
• Maintains accurate records as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheets.
• Welds plugs on rods.
• Replaces "paddles" as necessary.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form.
• Able to work various overtime as business needs require.
• Cleans and returns removed tools.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
• Attends meetings as required
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed
• Prepare and utilize the application of the Autosaw machine to cut product to acceptable specifications.
• Prepare and utilize the application of the Finish saw machine to cut tubing to required size listed on specifications.
• Operate the Rotary Straightener by loading tubing into the guide and holding the material while traveling through the straightener, if necessary.
• Set up and operate a pointing machine to prepare stock for the bench operation.
• Operate equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiate improvement to safe operations as appropriate.
