We are currently seeking a FSQA Systems Integration Manager to join our Manufacturing operations. This person will be responsible for management of all FSQA involved information systems for all facilities. Responsibility includes scoping, designing, developing, managing, training and monitoring the information systems for the FSQA departments of all Westrock Coffee Company facilities. This role will oversee designing QA metrics for each facility and tracking trending KPI data for management review.
This position reports to the VP Global FSQA & Compliance
Job Duties:


  • Responsible for scoping out software systems for the FSQA department to get efficiency and automation incorporated into daily FSQA tasks
  • Works closely with IT and business development to establish FSQA requirements and expectations when a new software system is introduced for business needs. Works cross functionally to ensure systems support FSQA business needs
  • Represents FSQA requirements cross functionally when different automated systems are to be introduced and establishes training documentation for facility FSQA to execute
  • Standardization of FSQA key metric reporting through all facilities
  • Working with facilities in developing templates, charts to record data which can then be easily transferred to easy-to-read reports
  • Working with Manufacturing quality to create and update facility's QMS Program
  • Acts as liaison between Executive Management and facilities to ensure data required to track FSQA key metrics is easily understood and executable by facilities in terms of easy to fill charts, forms, spreadsheets etc.
  • Responsible for reviewing existing systems to identify continuous improvements in existing projects and working with cross functional departments to ensure execution of the improvement projects
  • Standardizing the company's Recall process and customer requirements while ensuring facilities comply with conducting a mock recall(s) within stipulated time frames using existing software systems seamlessly. Documentation of the Mock Recall process and maintenance of the program
  • Responsible for Identifying and implementing strategies to enhance existing processes, increasing productivity and reducing inefficiencies within the FSQA departments
  • Keeping abreast of FSMA, regulatory and customer requirements to ensure compliance to these requirements are incorporated into electronic document capturing
  • Working with plant FSQA to determine automation required to make critical work and document management accurate and sustainable
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics to enhance FSQA reporting capabilities, incorporating predictive models to monitor trends, flag potential risks, and provide actionable insights for continuous quality improvement and preventive measures.
  • Lead efforts to integrate existing software systems (e.g., ERP, MES) with FSQA tools to ensure efficient data flow and communication between departments, enabling real-time access to critical FSQA information across all functions and facilities.
  • Establish risk management frameworks specific to FSQA by developing systems to automatically flag high-risk suppliers, processes, or products, and integrating mitigation strategies into daily FSQA workflows.
  • Design and deliver training programs to equip FSQA teams with the skills necessary for interpreting data and making data-driven decisions, ensuring real-time data is effectively utilized to improve quality and safety across all facilities.
  • Ensure FSQA systems are designed for scalability, allowing for efficient expansion to new facilities or product lines while maintaining consistent quality and safety standards.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain for traceability, IoT sensors for real-time monitoring, AI for predictive quality management) to enhance FSQA department capabilities and drive innovation in food safety and quality.


Qualifications:


  • 5 plus years Quality Assurance management experience
  • BA/BS in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or other related field required. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong project management experience and demonstrated experience in developing processes.
  • Strong experience needed in developing automated Quality Management systems
  • Experience in manufacturing products in a FDA/USDA environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQF, FSMA
  • Ability to travel as needed.
