Position Overview
This project management intern position will assist in managing the newly constructed building Center for Innovative Learning and Engagement (CILE) move-in project, working with and facilitating activities/scope, schedules, and budget with Facilities staff and building occupants. This position will assist in logistics, planning, and execution of moving people, equipment, and supplies into the newly constructed building, housing business, humanities and social sciences academic programs, so the building can be a fully operational facility. This position will report to the Facilities and IT Administrative Operations Coordinator and work closely with the Facilities and IT leadership teams. As part of the move-in project, this position will perform similar duties for building occupants and supplies/equipment that are moving from F1 to other buildings that are not CILE.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with development of the Center for Innovative Learning and Engagement building move-in plans such as schedule, scope, budget, communications.
  • Assist with communication with Facilities management, building occupants, and the campus regarding the Center for Innovative Learning and Engagement building move-in.
  • Assist with coordinating the Center for Innovative Learning and Engagement building move-in activities with involved partners such as management, building occupants, and others.
  • Assist with like duties related to occupant office moves to buildings other than the Center for Innovation Learning and Engagement.

Qualifications

Duties of the position required experience:

  • Ability to use a computer; including Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, internet research, and email;
  • Comfort with learning new technology and software
Required conditions of employment:
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to get along well with others.
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted driver's license.
Duties of the position require knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet web browser, and email to create plans, reports, and communications.
  • Knowledge and skills performing internet research.
  • Ability to proactively build positive relationships, foster team unity at all levels of the college, and strive for positive interactions with individuals across the campus;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Terms of Employment
These part-time student hourly positions are bound by the WAC 357-04-045 provisions above. Scheduled to work up 20 hours per week and on a quarter-by-quarter basis. The facilities position work locations are the TCC main campus and Gig Harbor Campus. The salary is $21.00-$21.00 per hour. TCC Part-time hourly and student employees including work study students, will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Hourly non-student employees may be applicable for comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance. Life and long- term disability insurance plans and retirement benefits are also provided.
