The Pre-Press Assistant position reports directly to the department manager. What you will be doing: Proof items with Global Vision proofing system Learn how to find real print errors from false positives. Research and problem solve when Press department gives you the wrong or missing information. If Global Vision finds a print issue, bring findings to graphic department, or write an email if after graphic department hours. Keep records of errors with Global Vision software and scanner. Add plate delivery tracking numbers to File Maker Clean dust from Global Vision scanner Take extra, not needed film off the rolls and put into trash Bring Global Vision and Lab's Garbage to trash compactor Bring empty cores back to press in the proper spot Research active jobs in file maker for opportunities with the color proofs. Use Global vision to check the customer approved proof against the stepped proof. Keep Global Vision area 5S.
