Department:ICHI | Community Programs 2Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) will be responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to women during the antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods. In addition, the APRN will engage in well-woman care, health education, contraceptive counseling, and management of episodic and chronic illnesses. This position presents an exciting opportunity to enhance the health of women in Phillips, Lee, and Crittendon counties.We are seeking a dynamic individual who is committed to providing community-based care, as the APRN will travel throughout Phillips, Lee, and Crittendon counties to offer healthcare services to women. Responsibilities will include conducting health examinations, as well as providing education and counseling on various health topics. The APRN will also be trained to deliver group prenatal care as a CenteringPregnancy provider. The APRN will work in a collaborative practice with UAMS physicians, nursing staff, and residents, ensuring the seamless delivery of care to this population of women. They will be responsible for coordinating the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consultations, and ensuring timely and appropriate care. Independence in consultation and billing of inpatient and outpatient consultations will be expected. The position also provides an opportunity for clinical research, based on the applicant's training and interest. The APRN will hold National Certification approved for practice in the state of AR. This position is largely community-based and will require work during evening hours and occasional weekends.
