Job Summary:

The Pediatrics Residency Program is designed to prepare physicians to practice the full scope of Pediatrics with a broad exposure of educational experiences to all major acute and chronic diseases of childhood, in a variety of practice settings, including Children's Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health, and numerous offsite educational experiences. The Pediatrics Residency Program Scheduler provides administrative support for the Department of Pediatrics Residency Program, focusing on managing the resident clinical work schedule. The role is part of a residency administrative team that also includes three Program Coordinators, all of whom work together to manage all aspects of the Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Colorado. This position will work in a collaborative, close relationship with the program coordinators, residency faculty, chief residents, residents, and other Medical Education faculty and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the year-long clinical block and call schedules for all Program interns and residents (approximately 120 total), primarily at Children's Hospital Colorado and also at Denver Health and the University of Colorado Hospital.
- Address unexpected and special schedule-related issues that require timely, fair, and effective solutions.
- Enter and manage the online schedules (currently via OnCall/Amion and MedHub).
- Assess the number of residents in the Program scheduled at each training location and propose updates to Program leadership for updates to site agreements as needed to ensure adequate personnel budgets for schedule plans in upcoming years.
- Coordinate resident educational conferences and related logistics.
- Support and attend residency events throughout the year.

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus plus as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Entry Level
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Intermediate Level
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- One (1) year of professional-level experience.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Conditions of Employment:
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience on diverse teams and/or with diverse populations. Diversity in this context refers to a variety of lived experiences, perspectives, cultures, and/or interpersonal styles.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, aggregating, and managing data and related reports.
- Experience prioritizing tasks, meeting timelines, and ensuring accuracy and completeness in a setting with numerous simultaneous complex tasks.
- Experience in program or administrative support in an academic healthcare setting.
- Experience working with and interpreting Federal, State, and University policies, rules, and regulations.
- Experience managing electronic scheduling and information systems, for example: OnCall/Amion, MedHub, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
- One year of experience creating and managing schedules, preferably for a variety of distinct groups.
- (Academic Services Professional) Three years of experience creating and managing complex schedules for a group of 100 people or more, preferably in an academic healthcare setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to learn about and then understand and manipulate a complex schedule.
- Ability to follow standardized processes, and, when needed, create new ones.
- Ability to compare and contrast data to improve processes and outcomes year over year, and to solve time-sensitive requests.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of situations and with a variety of internal and external partners.
- Ability to use an appropriate balance of collaboration and independent judgment, decide upon procedures to be implemented, set and follow through on priorities, maintain standards, problem solve, and work effectively in a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The hiring range for this position has been established as: Entry Level: $45,017 to $57,262 Intermediate Level: $48,989 to $62,314 The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
