The basics of this position:

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, technically knowledgeable and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Center for Visual Technology, ensuring smooth coordination between staff, students, instructors, and external partners. This position will also be integral in training and supporting staff, maintaining equipment, and facilitating educational initiatives.

What you'll do:



  • Monitor lab usage and coordinate with instructors/students.
    Develop training for Educational Assistants (EA's) staff.
    Schedule CVT computers and production equipment maintenance and updates.
    Ensure standardization of technical process between EA's and instructors/students.
    Act as liaison between lab staff and community partners.
    Serve as initial point of contact for outside technical support.
    Organize and conduct visits from guests and school staff.
    Research and recommend hardware and software purchases.
    Provide instructor requested in-class technical lectures.


Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in Information Technology, Education, or Operations Management, Graphic Design or related field with a strong understanding of technical systems and educational technology. They should have experience in lab or facility coordination, including coordinating equipment maintenance and ensuring smooth operations. A solid background in training for designing and delivering training to Educational Assistants (EAs) and ensuring standardized technical processes across staff and students. The ideal candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with instructors, students, community partners, and technical support providers. They should also possess project management abilities, be skilled in researching and recommending technology solutions, and have experience organizing events and facilitating in-class technical instruction. Experience with budgeting, procurement, and scheduling is also highly beneficial for managing resources and supporting continuous improvement in the lab environment.
