The Manager for Admissions and Outreach, School of Graduate Studies is a critical position focused on enhancing student enrollment and promoting the reputation of the College of Aviation's School of Graduate Studies (SGS) within the aviation and aerospace industries. This manages the admissions process to attract and retain high-quality graduate students across the school's diverse programs, including the Ph.D. in Aviation, Master of Science in Aviation, Master of Science in Uncrewed Systems, Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management, and Master of Science in Space Operations. Additionally, the role is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive outreach strategies to enhance program outreach and visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:
    The Manager will develop and implement targeted recruitment initiatives to attract a diverse and highly qualified applicant pool, with particular attention to inclusivity and representation.
  • Admissions Management:
    Working closely with program coordinators, the Manager will help establish admission standards for SGS. The role oversees the admissions process for the Ph.D. in Aviation from initial inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a positive applicant experience. The Manager will also provide administrative support to streamline admissions workflows and assist with graduate student activities within SGS.
  • Outreach Strategy Development and Execution:
    The Manager will design and implement outreach strategies to increase the visibility and reputation of the School of Graduate Studies. This position is expected to collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, digital content, and social media campaigns tailored to prospective graduate students. The role also involves promoting the unique value proposition of SGS programs through innovative online and offline initiatives, including social media outreach and the creation of impactful print materials.
  • Event Coordination:
    This position will plan and execute recruitment-focused events, such as open houses, webinars, and industry conferences, to connect with prospective students and strengthen relationships within the aviation and aerospace communities.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    The Manager will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of marketing and admissions efforts. Regularly reporting on enrollment trends, marketing ROI, and other metrics, the Manager will offer data-driven insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Administrative Support:
    The position also involves contributing to the administrative functions of SGS, including oversight of select graduate student activities and projects.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, preferred
  • At least five years of experience in marketing, admissions, or student recruitment, preferably in higher education or the aviation industry.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems, as well as graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI technologies to enhance marketing productivity.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and diverse team setting.
