You will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and practical legal and regulatory support and risk mitigations on a diverse range of issues related to AI technologies, including AI- and data-related research & development, in-sourcing and licensing, deployment of new solutions both internally and externally, and associated contractual negotiations, dispute resolution, and training and guidance. You will be a trusted business partner to Nokia leaders, product teams, and other internal stakeholders in navigating complex legal challenges with speed, agility, and a highly innovative spirit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's key strategic initiatives, and to ensure that world-class legal and regulatory compliance is viewed as a strategic commercial differentiator and not a roadblock.
- Provide strategic legal advice on AI technologies and related fields to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support Nokia's AI research and development initiatives, including managing legal aspects of in-sourcing and licensing agreements.
- Oversee the deployment of new AI solutions both internally and externally, ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts related to AI and digitization projects, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation.
- Manage and resolve disputes arising from AI and digitization projects, providing robust legal support to protect the company's interests.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters related to AI technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Nokia leaders, product teams, and other stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner.
- Stay abreast of the latest legal developments in AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, and other related fields to provide proactive and informed guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal strategies with business objectives, driving innovation and growth.
- You should have a law degree and significant post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department. We will prioritize candidates with experience in business-focused advisory on AI and related topics such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and IPR.

- Proven ability to handle complex legal issues proactively and creatively with high efficiency, and with an agile and business-focused mindset.
- Understanding of the EU AI Act and its implications for AI and digitization projects.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong and trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and cross-functional team environment.
- Technical background (e.g., computer science, engineering) would be an advantage but is not essential.
