Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
Student Engagement and Leadership (
SEAL) at North Carolina Central University's primary purpose is to enhance academic learning and retention by promoting intentional involvement.
SEAL offers co-curricular learning and experiences that promote student engagement, civility, leadership development, expression of ideas, citizenship, and belonging, to develop the holistic student.
SEAL is committed to working with student organizations, advisors and campus and community partners to advance student-centered learning environment. |
Primary Purpose of Position |
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Student Engagement and Leadership (
SEAL), perform a variety of business, fiscal, and administrative functions to address the business needs of the department. Work involves a variety of functional activities with additional responsibilities and oversight of financial reporting, Financial Agreed Upon Procedures, audit coordination, PCard reconciliation, Student Government Grant Funds distribution, Budget tracker management, travel oversight and other reports as needed |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of Student and Finance Banner or an equivalent system; knowledge of office organization, budget management, and computer information systems; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Applications; knowledge of developing and editing electronic newsletters, emails and surveys; knowledge of coordinate the analysis of surveys and report development; ability to manipulate and analyze data; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills, excellent editing skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
