UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master's degree programs. Department's Website: Additional Responsibilities: Maintaining counseling records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, participating in committee work, attending meetings, and maintaining professional credentials by attending conferences and training workshops. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. Attends Division of Student Engagement and university meetings as appropriate. Provides outreach presentations for students, faculty members, and staff members. Serves as a member of the UBIT Team. In this role, strong professional judgement must be used to balance counselor-client confidentiality and the need to ensure both personal and campus safety and security. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Masters of Counseling & Guidance, Social Work, Counseling or Clinical Psychology or other specialty related to job function. One-year post master's experience in college counseling center or other relevant setting. The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain an Arkansas mental health state license within the first two years of employment. Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Strong clinical skills and experience providing individual, couples, and group mental health counseling services and psycho-educational programming to a diverse student body within a college setting. Preferred candidates will hold a clinical license and will demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the assessment and treatment of various mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, autism spectrum, personality disorders and suicidal ideation. Have experience serving on a University Care or Intervention Team.The candidate should also have a clear understanding of developmental issues facing college students and have experience meeting the needs of clients from diverse populations and communities.
