The UHS Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Operations Analyst I - Revenue Cycle.

The Operations Analyst I - Revenue Cycle documents internal work flow and processes regarding patient collections and account lifecycles for accounts placed with a third party (outsourced). Maintains rules in the Patient Accounting system to select accounts to be placed with outside vendors. Provides ongoing analysis of queries/reports to identify opportunities to improve processes and resolve issues regarding the flow of patient accounts through the collections cycle. Educates end users on correct system processes. Runs/Creates automated scripts to address needs within the Revenue Cycle. Documents internal work flow and processes regarding patient collections and account lifecycles for accounts placed with a third party (outsourced). Provides ongoing analysis of queries/reports to identify opportunities to improve processes and resolve issues regarding the flow of patient accounts through the collections cycle. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reviews weekly reports to identify issues affecting the timely resolution of patient collections. Identifies and escalates issues for resolution to improve system processes. Discusses user issues with Centralized Business Offices, and works with external vendors to resolve any issues affecting the timely collections of accounts.
  • Documents processes and workflows regarding patient collection processes and vendor outsourcing.

  • Maintains rules within the patient accounting systems including, but not limited to, the successful selection of accounts to send to external agencies.

  • Assists the team in resolving tickets opened by UHS external vendors or internal customers.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree is required, however, significant (3+ relevant) years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of related experience required.
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in customer support and communications.
  • One to three years of functional knowledge of the revenue cycle collections, healthcare or related field is preferred.
  • Skill set should include professional written and verbal communication skills as well as Visio, Microsoft EXCEL and WORD.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and multitask is necessary.
