Assistant Professor of Security and Project Management

The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona invites applications for a dynamic and seasoned expert in security and project management to join our faculty in a non-tenure track role. This position requires a professional with extensive experience-at least a decade-as either a project manager or security manager. The ideal candidate will also hold at least one of the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP), alongside a graduate degree in project management, security management, supply chain management, risk management, or a closely related field.

As a non-tenure track Assistant Professor in the Global Security and Intelligence Studies Department, you will engage in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to the development of cutting-edge curriculum, participate in university committees, and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

• Develop and teach assigned courses and prepare lectures and classroom activities.
• Maintain course website in the Canvas learning management system.
• Hold office hours
• Meet university requirements for teaching, scholarly activity, and service
• Attend department and college meetings as required.
• Adopt course materials promptly
• Maintain professional certifications
• Stay current on developments in supply chain security and project management.
• Assigning and grading class assignments, quizzes, and tests.
• Assist interested students in studying for the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional Certifications.
• Service on university committees.

Minimum

• Master's degree in project management, supply chain management, security management, risk management, business, or related field.
• At least ten (10) years of industry experience.
• PMP certification.
• Experience teaching at the college level.

Preferred

• Ph.d. in project management, supply chain management, security management, risk management, business, or related field.

• CPP or PSP security certifications.
• Experience in international security operations or supply chain security
