Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) - General Surgery - Per Diem

Lincoln Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital and proud member of MaineHealth, is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our experienced and collaborative team. The successful candidate will join an established practice of 2 surgeons and 2 Advanced Practice Providers, located in beautiful Damariscotta, Maine.

To ensure optimal coverage and flexibility, we are seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to supplement care. This role offers a flexible work schedule and opportunity to work within a supportive environment dedicated to meeting the needs of our patients in a rural yet vibrant coastal community.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide perioperative and postoperative care to General Surgery patients.
• Assist in surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Education/Training:

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

Minimum of two years' experience as an NP/PA in General Surgery.

• Licenses/Certifications:

Eligible to obtain APRN or PA license in the State of Maine.

DEA certification.

ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
