Overview

We are seeking an innovative, thoughtful, and accomplished Financial Systems leader to leverage leading cloud technologies, from providers such as Microsoft, Workday, Oracle, Kronos & ADP, among other SAAS solutions, to craft a vision and direction for enterprise applications, integration and financial reporting including specifically finance applications.

Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Analytics & Financial Systems, the Director, Financial Systems will drive IT process maturity, while balancing speed of execution and innovation with operations and scale and helping build and enhance our data-driven culture and vision by establishing, tracking, and managing performance metrics relevant to efforts and staff undertaken.



Responsibilities

    Communicates clearly and effectively with all relevant parties regarding on-going projects, technology, and programs
  • Ensures the learning through available training, hands-on research and that development of staff meets the current and emerging needs
  • Collaborate with the data analytics team, strategy, and roadmap, engaging and eliciting support from others to realize the promise and value of a holistic business application and analytics vision
  • Enables, promotes, and supports effective use of data, information, and technology to support and improve financial systems and their development. Responsible for strategic systems planning, road-mapping, portfolio management and implementation of cost-effective systems, information, and technology services
  • Promotes collaborative work practices with other IT teams, internal corporate teams, vendors, and customers, to implement financial and enterprise information systems and services designed to enhance the Company's ability to carry out its mission
  • Defines, measures, and manages KPI's and team performance
  • Recruits, selects, trains, retains, builds, and maintains necessary skills and personnel to become a high-profile, high-performance team driving outcomes through technology projects, organizational adoption, and support
  • Works in collaboration with other Information Technology departments, other internal corporate teams, and leaders to design and implement financial and enterprise systems supporting business objectives
  • Directs the planning and delivery of a wide range of capital projects, enhancements, break/fix requests and other programs/processes as defined by the business
  • Controls the overall delivery of high quality, timely and accurate solutions
  • Works with all management and system users to identify their information needs and support them in planning and decision making
  • Manages the development and implementation of financial and operational reports
  • Creates strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and other standards aimed at ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information
  • Designs and oversees implementation of processes and systems to ensure efficient workflow processes identified by end users and IT teams as it pertains to financial and enterprise systems
  • Reviews technology trends, experience, and approaches then develops technical and application implementation strategies for use in financial and enterprise information and communication systems
  • Provides expert support to other departments in the development of financial and enterprise information systems, products and services being responsive to current and future needs
  • Ensures the learning, training, and development of staff meets current and emerging needs
  • Pushes for improvements, scaling and extending enterprise systems, tooling and infrastructure, and collaborating with other teams across the organization to leverage better practices for a technology driven community forward


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Computer Science
  • Ten to fifteen years of related direct experience leading medium to large department and matrix teams of FTE's and contract resources
  • Large consulting firm experience implementing HR and Finance, preferably in Health Care and/or Fortune 500 companies preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, Workday, Kronos and/or ADP experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to communicate effectively and to elicit cooperation and collaboration with corporate users, management, associates, and field personnel
  • Experience in working and directing global third-party development teams with successful project implementations and transitioned to daily support models
  • Ability and experience in driving transformational change within all areas of corporate systems, including but not limited to Finance, AP, Payroll and HR
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple competing priorities, including acquisition, divestitures, and other business critical, high-profile projects
  • Strong people leader, mentor, coach, and talent developer
  • Very strong at problem solving, conflict resolution, organization, and emergency response.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with project management processes and execution.
  • Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing using business context and plain-speak when appropriate
  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative to identify full range of potential through repetitive problems and drive resolution
