CARFAIR - CNC PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR

Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programs for all Production CNC equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

1. Reviews all new and revised engineering drawings and designs and creates / modifies CNC programs for all CNC equipment including but not limited to the Water Jet, CNC mat cutter, 3D Printer, CNC Router

2. Updates and distributes all programs to the shop floor in a timely manner.

3. Monitors part designs, tooling requirements, batch sizes and material usage to ensure CNC programs maximize machine efficiency.

4. Works with Maintenance, Tooling, Engineering, Production, and Planning departments to initiate process improvements related to CNC programs.

5. Creates prototype and special project parts programs for Non - standard work orders.

6. Create parts programs using Robot studio, AutoCAD, Mastercam, SolidWorks, Rhinoceros, etc.

7. Controls parts program libraries within the operating environments.

8. Develop new and improved methods to maximize program and machine efficiency.

9. Produces and modifies programs in accordance with the ISO quality systems program.

10. Assist in determining future CNC shop floor equipment and office programming software.

11. Collect and send DXF files to supplier / vendor site for periodical farm out requirements.

12. Completes special assignments as required.

13. Ensures regular program backups are completed on a regular basis.

14. Works with maintenance team to identify equipment PM's and to optimize equipment uptime.

Work with maintenance team to trouble shoot equipment breakdowns as needed to get back up and running.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

* High School Diploma

* Technical Schooling

* 3-5 years program experience.

* Experience in CNC programming.

* CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo)

* MasterCAM, Robot Studio, Eastman

* Computer, two-way radio, and other equipment related to Essential Functions.

* Passport (5% travel required)
